The following meals are organized in the restaurant of the hotel next to the conference hall.

Lunch: varied buffet with wine and dessert. Meeting with the speakers

 

 

Dinner : Brasilian Specialities

 

o   Starter: Caju de Lombo (pork fritter with cashew nuts), or Impadinhas (schrimp turnover), with a tropical cocktail.

o   Main dish: Feijoada (black haricot, pork, rice, farola), or Vaca Atolada (beef, rice and manioc roots).

o   Dessert (fruit salad, papaya flan, orange fondant, coconut flan, passion fruit mousse).

o   Starter: Cristofine Salad (cristofine, orange, spring onion, lime), or Coxinhas (chicken fritter), with Caïpirinha Cocktail.

o   Main dish: Ximxim de Cralinha (chicken, peanuts, coconut milk, cashew nuts, shrimp, pirao), or Mocueca (fresh fish, pirao, rice).

o   Dessert (fruit salad, papaya flan, orange fondant, coconut flan, passion fruit mousse)

Film Projection

We Feed the World

We Feed the World is a documentary in which Austrian filmmaker Erwin Wagenhofer traces the origins of the food we eat and views modern industrial production of food in a critical light. His journey takes him to France, Spain, Romania, Switzerland, Brazil and back to Austria.

The movie was made in 2005. It features an interview with Jean Ziegler.

 

 

Excursion

Visit of a farmhouse on Sunday morning. The farmhouse which is going to be visited, situated at half an hour from Brasilia, specializes in soya bean culture. That visit will be surely the occasion of learning a lot about the farming world, and an interesting way to introduce the many important issues of the agriculture in South America.
